Nora, Year Three

In an instant, my daughter is no longer two-and-a-half and is now a vivacious three-year-old. Gone are the chubby baby legs and arms, daytime naps, broken English, massive consumption of milk, and excessive binkie use. In are the never-ending conversations, imaginative play, willingness and eagerness to do all new things (as well as domestic chores), and the anticipation of major events (like her birthday party, which occurs tomorrow).

We’re celebrating the big three today at home with favorite foods, some pink decorations, and lots of presents and attention. I made some Pinterest-inspired Minnie Mouse cupcakes and printed a birthday banner found on the good ol’ Interwebs (link here).

In the year that we’ve had with Nora, she’s matured and changed so much, yet remained the same caring, compassionate, assertive, smart, and beautiful girl we met at the hospital three years ago.
