With three days in a row of ninety-degree temps, I would say summer has arrived! While we had a cool Memorial Day weekend, the temperatures became much more seasonal this week. We’ve been braving the heat wave, venturing out to the zoo and a local park, and enjoying lots of water play on our porch, which is shaded in the late afternoon.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with summer’s arrival. We have so much on the books this year–I feel like I haven’t had a summer with this much potential for fun in many, many years.
Our travel docket is packed, we have lots of fun things scheduled around our city, and, most importantly, newfound time to enjoy this season. The kids and I are already picking up color (despite 60 SPF) and plan to spend our first day at the pool this weekend. I am even tie-dying with friends tomorrow to commemorate this summer-of-fun.
