Two years ago today, Steve and I became parents. In the two years since our girl made her appearance, we have experienced more joy and love than we ever thought possible. Our spunky girl is sensitive, loving, smart, and beautiful.
I’ve heard that years one to two is considered a very magical year, and I couldn’t agree more. Nora has gone from no words to, I swear, more than a thousand. She understands everything we say and can carry on a conversation. She runs and jumps. She has favorites–like the Count, Olivia, Pooh, CARSON, hoodie sweatshirts, and bacon. She has least favorites too–confined spaces, getting her hair combed, and the dark. She is polite–just yesterday she thanked Carson’s infant teacher for changing his diaper and thanked us this morning for buying cupcakes for her class. She is loving–I always get hugs and kisses before bedtime and school drop off.
We’ve had a great year with our girl:
And, two years ago
Tonight we will celebrate our girl with presents and a cookie cake. We will smile with each gift that she opens and plays with and shake our heads at how big she has gotten in just 731 days. It’s already gone too fast.
