In between writing a long midterm, I have been very busy with domestic duties at the house. Steve and I are catching up after a hectic few months and doing everything from buying people birthday presents to cleaning out our closets. The exciting news in our life is that we bought new flannel sheets, a bath mat (I mean, come on, does it really get any more exciting than that?!?!), and a jacket, shoes, and sweaters for Steve.
The other major purchase this weekend was a piece of plywood that we can use as the leaf in our dining-room table. We had to get this because we are hosting Thanksgiving this year, which I am super excited about. We also bought a crate-paper turkey for our table’s centerpiece, and I was savvy enough to buy some paper products for the appetizer and dessert portions of the meal. (Since we don’t have a dishwasher, I thought this could save us some time). We’re in countdown mode to Thanksgiving, and in two-and-a-half weeks will be enjoying the kick-off to the holidays with friends and family.
Time for pumpkin-flavored everything, football and playoff baseball, changing leaves, cool nights, Halloween, and lots of projects!
Though I now live in the Philly area (and am very happy here), my heart will always belong to Boise, Idaho.
